Ability to check work emails via mobile phone allows people to be connected all the time, follow status, progress and give input when it is needed.
Unfortunately, the same time those emails are checked in hurry, without giving a moment to think, to decide on best actions and priorities, to go through the details. That might easily result in misleading, misguiding, lots in translation or angry replies. We tend to forget faster those agreements, for which we commit via fast 'ok' in the email conversation.
We as humans are driven by the feeling of finishing tasks. Satisfaction of done, amount of questions answered. Indeed, replied emails visually reduce our to do tasks list. But for long term success, the ability to react to emails mindfully would bring us way further.
